The PMEB and British Mercury go to London
(and see Sabina a few times)

There is a man
sitting half-way up the stair
laughing like raindrops and starlight.
There is a man
sitting half-way up the stair
all contained in the now and forever.
There is a man
sitting half-way up the stair
casting spells with eyes and voice and being,

paying out in time and memory
receiving and giving
dancing back and forth on the line
bold and then gentle
touching and touched
echoing, responding, augmenting, absorbing,
taking away breaths with hearts.

We are sitting
half-way down the stair
caught in the delight of this moment
together all made of sparking joy
with a man
sitting half-way up the stair.
